Shipping: UK & International
UK Shipping
My standard UK shipping is £4.00, this is subsidised and contributes towards the cost of packing and a tracked courier delivery through Evri, with options available for delivery if you're not going to be in. For items that are larger or heavier, the cost will be higher, but I aim to keep them as low as possible - these costs are always subsidised.
I make everything in batches, items are usually shipped within a week, but I always advise people to leave plenty of time at my busiest periods, which are usually Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day and the whole gardening season. If you need something urgently and/or require expedited shipping, please ask before ordering as it may not be possible for me to make and ship your order at short notice and get it to you in time.
I can add a short message with the courier if you have a safe place where parcels can be left. This is added at your risk, so please make sure it really is safe for parcels to be left unsecured. You'll be asked for this when your order has been placed.
I'm happy to use an alternative courier/Royal Mail if you prefer, however, the costs can increase significantly, and the buyer is responsible for any overages.
I'm also happy to combine orders into one shipping cost if possible and refund any overages once the parcel has been weighed and priced.
Due to high volumes of parcels at Christmas time, once the item has shipped, all delays are outside of my control, but I'll do my best to help you deal with the courier if you have any issues.
International Shipping
I'm happy to look into the costs of international shipping for customers, but the price quoted is for shipping only. Please be aware that buyers are responsible for any extra customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm also not in control of, or responsible for delays due to customs.
There are some excellent third-party shipping companies that will ship overseas for you, it's an especially useful service if you regularly buy from the UK from overseas as they'll collate your parcels into one larger shipment and save on costs for you. In these cases, you'll provide the address for your third-party shipping, together with your unique reference number with your order. The standard UK shipping cost will apply for your order with me, I will ship to your third-party shipper, and you'll settle the international shipping costs with the them. Please be aware that in the case of damage, you'll be responsible for dealing with insurance claims through the third-party shipper as well as liable for the return costs of the item to the UK if you would like the item refunded or re-made. Items that have glass elements are often exempt from shipping insurance - even in the case of lost parcels - so please make sure you're fully aware of your rights and insurance cover before you purchase.
